The Force10 Management System (FTMS) is a highly customizable, flexible and extensible, management system designed to deliver Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security (FCAPS) management of Force10 products.

The FTMS platform, based on the latest emerging technologies including, Java Beans, JFC, XML, HTTP, JSP, JDBC, CORBA and SNMP, supports a variety of northbound and southbound interfaces for ease of integration.

The system comes with an internal MySQL database. It also supports the capability to use external databases such as Oracle, SQL server, Informix, Sybase, Solid, and TimesTen.

For maximum flexibility, FTMS supports both a web-based client for universal access as well as a standalone JAVA application client.
