TURIN NETWORKS' TRAVERSE® AND TRAVERSEEDGE™ PRODUCTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE GOVERNMENT JOINT INTEROPERABILITY TESTING

Enables aggregation, switching and transport of Ethernet and TDM services to support DoD net-centric war-fighting capabilities

Petaluma, CA, August 12, 2008 – Turin Networks, Inc., a leading global provider of innovative Carrier Ethernet, Converged Services and Wireless Backhaul solutions for wireline and wireless network operators and private networks, today announced that they have successfully completed rigorous interoperability testing with the United States Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) at Indian Head, Maryland on its Traverse Multiservice Transport Switch, TraverseEdge 100, and TraverseEdge 206 products. JITC provides a full-range of agile and cost-effective test, evaluation and certification services to support the U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) rapid acquisition and deployment of Turin's products to support advanced Ethernet, IP and TDM-based applications. JITC assessment and approval is required for systems to be deployed in U.S. DoD networks.

"Turin's iConnect™ for Carrier Ethernet communications solutions provide economical and secure bridges from legacy TDM to packet-centric networking" said Henry Wasik, President and CEO of Turin Networks. "The scalability and versatility that we've built into our Traverse and TraverseEdge products will help our government customers make the transition from a circuit-based to a packet-optimized infrastructure to better support net-centric applications."

About The Traverse Multi-service Transport Switch Solution
The Traverse Multiservice Transport Switch family provides aggregation, switching and transport of Ethernet and TDM services from a single shelf. With scalability of up to 100 Gbps per system, the Traverse platform is optimized for deployments in service hubs, central offices, cable head-ends, co-location facilities and high capacity aggregation sites. The TraverseEdge platforms are ideally suited for large access deployments ranging from outside plant cabinets, base deployments, and customer premises environments (CPE), as well as at wireless cell site locations. The TraverseEdge 206 (TE-206) is a flexible edge multiplexer that integrates a SONET Add/Drop Multiplexer (ADM) and Ethernet switching in an environmentally hardened 2RU high shelf that can provide 1:1 equipment protection for all ports and common components. The TraverseEdge 100 (TE-100) is a cost-effective and efficient edge multiplexer that delivers converged Ethernet and IP services as well as legacy voice and TDM services.
