FORCE10 NETWORKS NAMES INDUSTRY VETERAN JAMES HANLEY AS
VICE PRESIDENT OF WORLDWIDE SALES

SAN JOSE, Calif., October 1, 2007 – Force10 Networks®, the pioneer in building and securing reliable networks, today announced that it has named James Hanley vice president of worldwide sales.  Mr. Hanley brings more than 20 years of sales and field operations experience to Force10, where he will develop and implement strategies to enable the company to grow its presence in existing geographies and markets while identifying new opportunities for its expanding product portfolio.

“James’ extensive experience in both direct and channel sales as well as field operations makes him ideally suited to lead Force10’s sales efforts as we leverage our expertise and leadership position in high end data centers to enter new markets,” said Marc Randall, CEO and president of Force10 Networks.  “As we continue to expand our worldwide presence and extend our product portfolio, James will provide the strategic sales direction we need to succeed in the time ahead.”

Prior to joining Force10, Mr. Hanley was senior vice president of worldwide field operations at NeoScale Systems, where he realigned the company’s go-to-market strategy and developed a new worldwide sales channel.  Earlier, he managed the channel at CA as senior vice president of worldwide partner sales.  Mr. Hanley has also held executive roles in sales, field operations and channel development at EMC, including senior leadership positions in London and Hong Kong.  He holds a B.A. in economics and a minor in accounting from Claremont McKenna College.

“Force10 has a leading product portfolio that is well positioned to deliver the reliability that data centers, enterprises and service providers demand to meet the requirements of emerging applications and increasing network traffic at a lower total cost of ownership,” said Mr. Hanley.  “I look forward to building on the strong reputation that Force10 has developed in some of the largest and most demanding network environments in the world to enable businesses of all kinds to leverage their networks as strategic assets.”

Force10 has five technical assistance centers that support more than 450 customers around the world.  In response to changing customer requirements, Force10 recently introduced the C300 resilient switch.  As the most recent addition to the Force10 Reliable Networking product portfolio, the C300 brings the same reliability, network control and scalability typically found in large, high performance data centers to midsize data centers and the enterprise LAN.
