FORCE10 NETWORKS NAMES ERIC TOM VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 2, 2007 –Force10 Networks®, the pioneer in building and securing reliable networks, today announced that Eric Tom has been named vice president of business development.  In this newly created position, Tom will be responsible for building channel relationships and establishing strategic alliances that will expand the company’s worldwide market opportunities.

“Eric’s considerable business development expertise coupled with his excellent track record of building and managing sales teams and strategic alliances will be invaluable to taking Force10 to the next level of industry leadership,” said Force10 Networks CEO Marc Randall.  “As we continue to expand our product portfolio, industry partnerships will be a key company initiative for identifying and executing on a wider range of opportunities.”

Tom brings nearly 20 years of domestic and international sales management and business development experience to Force10.  Most recently, Tom served as CEO for Broadband Interactive TV, an early-stage software start-up that eventually sold its technology to Time Warner Cable.  Prior to that, Tom held senior executive sales management positions with Qwest, Sprint and data center service providers Pihana Pacific.

Tom earned a B.A. degree from the University of Hawaii and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
