LIVE365 POWERS WORLD’S LARGEST INTERNET RADIO COMMUNITY WITH FORCE10 NETWORKS TERASCALE E-SERIES SWITCH/ROUTERS

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 5, 2006 –Force10 Networks® today announced that Internet radio pioneer Live365 has deployed the TeraScale E-Series® family of switch/routers and the S-Series family of data center switches in the world’s largest Internet radio network to reliably stream thousands of radio stations to more than four million subscribers. The Force10 high performance end-to-end data center solution combines leading density and unmatched resiliency from the core of the network to the edge to ensure predictable performance that translates into an enjoyable listening experience.

Live365 is leveraging Force10’s end-to-end data center solution to build a next generation network foundation that can seamlessly and cost effectively scale as traffic continues to grow. The compact, high density S50 brings core-like reliability to the server edge, providing the scalability and resiliency Live365 needs in its production network. The Force10 TeraScale E300 brings unmatched resiliency and robust BGP peering to the core of the data center. With high density connectivity both at the edge of the network and in the core, Live365 can continue to expand its data center without a complete infrastructure upgrade well into the future.

The three CPU architecture of the TeraScale E-Series lays the foundation for a reliable and resilient network over which Live365 can provide thousands of radio stations to more than four million listeners. By distributing switching, routing and management functionality between three distinct processors, each with protected memory, the TeraScale E-Series provides maximum network uptime and protection against denial of service attacks.

The Force10 TeraScale E300 supports 288 Gigabit and 48 Ten Gigabit Ethernet ports in a single system while the S50 provides 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports with two 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks. When deployed in tandem, the TeraScale E-Series and the S50 provide a scalable, cost-effective end-to-end solution for high performance data centers.
