LIVE365 POWERS WORLD’S LARGEST INTERNET RADIO COMMUNITY WITH FORCE10 NETWORKS TERASCALE E-SERIES SWITCH/ROUTERS

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 5, 2006 –Force10 Networks® today announced that Internet radio pioneer Live365 has deployed the TeraScale E-Series® family of switch/routers and the S-Series family of data center switches in the world’s largest Internet radio network to reliably stream thousands of radio stations to more than four million subscribers. The Force10 high performance end-to-end data center solution combines leading density and unmatched resiliency from the core of the network to the edge to ensure predictable performance that translates into an enjoyable listening experience.

“The rapidly growing demand for user-generated radio content is driving an increase in our network traffic that is requiring us to not only expand capacity but also ensure our growth does not impact the reliability of our service,” said Dr. Jonghyun Kahng, director of advanced development at Live365. “With the Force10 data center solution we are building a resilient infrastructure that allows us to efficiently expand our service offerings while maintaining extremely reliable delivery of thousands of radio stations.”

Live365 is leveraging Force10’s end-to-end data center solution to build a next generation network foundation that can seamlessly and cost effectively scale as traffic continues to grow. The compact, high density S50 brings core-like reliability to the server edge, providing the scalability and resiliency Live365 needs in its production network. The Force10 TeraScale E300 brings unmatched resiliency and robust BGP peering to the core of the data center. With high density connectivity both at the edge of the network and in the core, Live365 can continue to expand its data center without a complete infrastructure upgrade well into the future.

The three CPU architecture of the TeraScale E-Series lays the foundation for a reliable and resilient network over which Live365 can provide thousands of radio stations to more than four million listeners. By distributing switching, routing and management functionality between three distinct processors, each with protected memory, the TeraScale E-Series provides maximum network uptime and protection against denial of service attacks.

“As entertainment has continued to move away from traditional entertainment sources to the Internet, Live365 has capitalized on that trend by offering diverse music and programs that millions of people are dialing into globally,” said Mark Cooper, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Force10 Networks. “The resiliency of the Force10 data center solution enables Live365 to mimic the reliability of traditional radio while providing the high performance infrastructure the company needs to continue developing rich and varied online programming for its customers.”

Live365 offers the most diverse array of high quality radio available today to a global audience in more than 200 countries. Launched in July 1999, Live365 has been named Best Radio Website by the Web Marketing Association and received a People's Voice award for Best Music Site and Best Radio Site at the Webby Awards. Additionally, Live365 received Best-of-Web designations from Forbes.com and the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Force10 TeraScale E300 supports 288 Gigabit and 48 Ten Gigabit Ethernet ports in a single system while the S50 provides 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports with two 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks. When deployed in tandem, the TeraScale E-Series and the S50 provide a scalable, cost-effective end-to-end solution for high performance data centers.
