FORCE10 NETWORKS NAMES FORMER MCI PRESIDENT RICK ROSCITT TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MILPITAS, Calif., March 6, 2006 — Force10 Networks® today announced that Rick Roscitt, a technology industry leader with more than 30 years of management experience, including tenure as president and chief operating officer of MCI, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Mr. Roscitt brings a deep understanding of the networking and telecommunications services industries, having also served in senior executive positions for AT&T and ADC.

As president and chief operating officer of MCI from 2003 to 2004, Mr. Roscitt helped lead the company out of bankruptcy and reestablished it as a telecommunications leader with positive cash flow. Prior to MCI, Mr. Roscitt was chairman and CEO of ADC Broadband, where he implemented an aggressive cost reduction effort along with a complete product portfolio overhaul that returned the business to profitability. Earlier, he was the president of AT&T Business Services, the company’s largest and most profitable unit with 30,000 employees and annual revenue of more than $31 billion. Mr. Roscitt was also a founding partner, president and CEO of AT&T Solutions, which focuses on delivering professional services to global enterprises.

Mr. Roscitt currently serves on the board of trustees of Stevens Institute of Technology. He holds a bachelor of engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
