FORCE10 NETWORKS AND LIGHT READING TO EXPLORE THE DYNAMICS OF HIGH AVAILABILITY DATA CENTERS IN WEBINAR
MILPITAS, Calif., January 18, 2005 — Force10 Networks today announced that it will explore the revenue implications of greater availability in the next-generation data center during a webinar with Light Reading on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 12:00 p.m. EST / 9:00 a.m. PST.
Stephen Garrison, Force10’s senior director of corporate marketing, and Simon Hill, analyst at large with Heavy Reading, will examine industries that are on the cutting edge of data center technology and how they leverage the technology to increase revenue. In this exploration, Garrison and Hill will highlight the economic benefits behind the combination of greater density and greater reliability.
Force10 recently introduced its TeraScale E-Series family of switch/routers, which leads the industry in Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet densities. With support for more Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports on a single system, the TeraScale E-Series enables data center operators to reduce the number of systems in their network. Fewer systems reduce not only capital expenditures but operational expenditures, including power consumption, cabling costs and engineering support, as well.
