MILPITAS, Calif., October 20, 2004 — Force10 Networks today announced that it will expand its global research and development program with the opening of a new facility in Chennai, India. The facility will launch hardware and software development efforts to further advance the Force10 TeraScale E-Series family of switch/routers as well as the design and development of new products and features. Regional business development, sales and customer support teams will also be based in the facility.

“By expanding our research and development presence in India, we will better address the needs of our customers by improving our competitive structure and time to market,” said Marc Randall, president and CEO of Force10 Networks.
