JAPAN CABLENET DEPLOYS FORCE10 E-SERIES TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND RESILIENCY IN NETWORK CORE
MILPITAS, Calif., September 21, 2004 — Force10 Networks today announced that Japan Cablenet has deployed the Force10 E-Series to improve the performance, resiliency and security of its core network. The Force10 E300 delivers the resiliency Japan Cablenet needs to offer advanced broadband services, such as voice over IP and streaming media, to its growing customer base.
“The demand for more advanced broadband services from our growing customer base drove us to search for a 10 Gigabit Ethernet solution that combined reliability and scalability with line-rate performance,” said Masamichi Hasegawa, manager of network technology department at Japan Cablenet. “We selected the E300 because it provides high throughput per slot, stable routing protocols and protection against denial of service attacks.”
The Force10 E300 provides the resiliency and scalability that will allow Japan Cablenet to increase its customer base without compromising performance. Fully distributed hardware and advanced software deliver line-rate Gigabit and 10 Gigabit throughput across all ports regardless of traffic type or condition while built-in hardware redundancy guarantees performance continuity.
