FORCE10 NETWORKS TO HOST WEBINAR HIGHLIGHTING THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF GREATER DENSITY AND RESILIENCY

MILPITAS, Calif., September 15, 2004 — Force10 Networks will host a webinar on Thursday, September 16, at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET, to discuss the economic benefits of higher system-level port density and resiliency. This week Force10 introduced its TeraScale E-Series family of switch/routers, which sets new industry standards for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet densities.

Stephen Garrison, Force10’s senior director of corporate marketing, will explore the business drivers of greater system-level density and examine the markets that are demanding this density today. Additionally, Garrison will discuss how the combination of greater density and resiliency can reduce capital and operational expenses while simplifying the network.

The Force10 TeraScale E-Series supports 56 line-rate 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 672 line-rate Gigabit Ethernet ports and can process one billion packets per second, surpassing all competitive benchmarks to rank as the world’s first true Terabit switch/router.
