MILPITAS, Calif., November 3, 2003 — Force10 Networks, Inc., a pioneer in resilient switching and routing, today announced that it will highlight the future of Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet technology at the Next Generation Networks (NGN) conference, Nov. 3-7, 2003, at the Marriott Copley Place in Boston.

Marshall Eisenberg, Force10’s director of technical marketing, will explore the state of 10 Gigabit Ethernet and the evolution of the new data center on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 1:30 pm, in the session, “Not Your Father’s Ethernet: The Latest Developments.” Scott Bradner, technology advisory to Harvard University, will chair the panel discussion featuring Eisenberg, along with independent consultant Jonathan Thatcher, and Igal Rotem, CEO of PowerDsine.

The session will focus on the future of Ethernet throughout the network. Focusing particular attention to the role of Ethernet in the first mile and the data center, this session will examine the drivers propelling the adoption of Ethernet and the replacement of legacy technologies.
