FORCE10 NETWORKS STRENGTHENS EXECUTIVE TEAM WITH INDUSTRY VETERANS FROM CISCO AND JUNIPER

MILPITAS, Calif., February 6, 2001 — Force10 Networks, Inc., a leading developer of next-generation equipment for network service providers, announced today the appointment of two industry veterans to its executive management team. John Jendricks has joined the company as vice president of business development and CIO, and Steve Mullaney has joined as vice president of marketing. Both Jendricks and Mullaney report to P.K. Dubey, president and CEO of Force10 Networks.

“John and Steve are great additions to our executive team,” said Dubey. “They are proven executives with leadership skills and industry successes that are invaluable to us as we grow our company.”

Prior to joining Force10 Networks, Jendricks was vice president of business development and CIO at Juniper Networks, where he helped define both partner and product strategies as well as architecting and implementing a highly scalable IT infrastructure for the company’s fast growing global business. He previously held CIO and other senior management positions at Cisco, Stratacom, and Wellfleet.

Steve Mullaney comes to Force10 Networks from Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for ISP market segment marketing. Previously he was vice president of marketing for Growth Networks, a terabit switching fabric company that was acquired by Cisco in March 2000. Prior to that he spent ten years at Bay Networks / SynOptics in various engineering, product management and marketing roles, and was most recently vice president of enterprise marketing.
